Wye Estuary near Tintern
Flooding is expected as a result of the combination of the high tides and weather conditions for this evenings high tide Wednesday 10th September. The next high tide at Newport is expected to occur at 9:55pm on Wednesday 10th September. High tide at Tintern will be 45 minutes later than at Newport. Flooding to property is expected. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is ongoing. Conditions are expected to improve after this evenings high tide and no further impacts are expected. Be careful on roads, low lying land, close to the estuary. We will continue to monitor the situation.
